Long before I started, I always knew I wanted to work online and be location independent, far from my standard routine in Dublin that everyone else did.

For years Adam and I tried to scratch that itch by taking jobs we didn’t care about, saving every cent, quitting, travelling for a few months and then starting over. None of it felt like a long-term life we actually wanted.

In early 2020 we set off on another long trip through Asia, hoping it might spark something different. A week after we landed in Thailand the borders closed.

That unexpected pause turned out to be the break we needed. We stayed in a small town in the north of Thailand and finally put our ideas into action.

We already had years of admin and client-facing experience, so instead of waiting for the “perfect” plan we launched. By late March our VA business was live.

We made every rookie mistake imaginable and the backend was chaos (something I do NOT recommend), but we learned fast and seven weeks later Team Virtual was fully booked and earning enough to keep us travelling full-time.

That freedom became our normal and it still is today.

In 2022 I felt the pull to help other women do the same by transitioning into a Virtual Assistant Coach. Since then I’ve coached hundreds across Ireland and beyond to build their own Virtual Assistant businesses and create time freedom and flexibility on their own terms.

My focus to this day is always coaching ambitious women how to build a VA business the right way from day one, along with giving myself the work-life balance that I teach to others.

So when I’m not working, you’ll probably find me with a coffee in hand, planning the next trip or enjoying home time in Ireland or Australia with Adam!
